Jarjish Rahaman Completes His Third Secondment in CNR (& POLIMI), Milan, Italy

As part of the CONcISE Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Doctoral Network (MSCA-DN), Jarjish Rahaman (DC3) spent nearly three months in Milan, Italy, from 15 April to 7 July 2026, for his third research secondment in the National Research Council of Italy (CNR). During this period, he worked with Andrea Farina and Giovanna Tramontin (DC1) at the Department of Physics of Politecnico di Milano (POLIMI). He focused on conducting experimental measurements for the research-packaged smart-DOT (i.e., smart time-domain diffuse optical tomography) and gained hands-on experience with the experimental setup. This helped him better understand the experimental system and perform measurements in practice. He is grateful to Andrea and Giovanna for their support, guidance, and willingness to share their knowledge throughout his stay. Their help made the experience both productive and enjoyable. Beyond the laboratory, the secondment also allowed him to experience life in Milan and Italy, explore different places, and learn more about Italian culture. Overall, the stay was a rewarding experience, allowing him to develop his experimental skills, learn from colleagues, and strengthen research connections within the CONcISE network.
